They lodge complaints for irregular registrations in SDSS

The Social Security Treasury (TSS) reported that yesterday it deposited 64 files in the public prosecutor’s office with complaints of irregular registrations of 9,141 people as alleged workers in the Dominican Social Security System (SDSS).

The irregularity was detected in the Single Information, Collection and Payment System (SUIR) of the TSS and is attributed to companies that are registered as employers before the SDSS and that report alleged employees with salaries as low as RD $ 500.

Only those cases cause losses to the system estimated at RD $ 95,700,785.72, as recorded in the files deposited in the General Secretariat of the Public Ministry by a legal team of the TSS, with the purpose that the authorities proceed through the corresponding legal channels.

With these 64, the number of files deposited by the operating entity of the SDSS so far this year with the Public Ministry rises to 92.

The files have been accompanied by the respective complaints, filed against employers who have made irregular use of SUIR of the Institution, to simulate that 58,798 people are its workers, with the possible purpose of commercializing the Family Health Insurance (SFS), of the Contributory Regime.

According to the TSS, all these complaints include a total loss for the SDSS of RD $ 188,602,251.83.
