Italian authorities announced an investigation into the death of an allergic young woman who allegedly ate vegan tiramisu.
Anna Bellisario died in early 2023 after suffering anaphylactic shock due to an allergy to dairy products.
Everything was recorded as she went to dinner with her boyfriend at a fast food restaurant in Milan. From one moment to the next, however, she had to be taken to a hospital.
The young woman was in a coma for ten days and, despite the efforts of doctors, she died on February 5 at San Raffaele Hospital.

The Italian newspaper Il Giorno revealed that the justice system is indicting Giuseppe Loiero and his mother Giovanna Anoia, representatives of the pastry shop that made the dessert.
The dessert would have caused his death
Almost a year after his death, authorities announced an investigation into the owners of the pastry shop that supplied the restaurant.
These people are accused of alleged murder after it was revealed that the tiramisu they consumed contained traces of milk and was labeled vegan.
Prosecutors asserted in the case that these women did not respect the separation of ingredients and environments and did not instruct their workers to do so.
In this way, mixing with dairy products would have occurred in the middle of the production of the baked goods.
The researchers were able to prove that other desserts labeled as vegan also contained traces of dairy products.
As a result, the 20-year-old girl suffered severe anaphylactic shock, which led to her death.
Anna had reportedly asked for more information to confirm that the dessert was indeed vegan allergy.
So she was confident about eating the tiramisu, but after taking the second spoonful, she had to go to the toilet to throw up.
The young woman also took her asthma medication and the cortisone that she always carries with her, but fainted before being taken to the hospital, where she eventually died.
