The Dominican Volleyball Federation (Fedovoli) is committed to developing the exciting beach modality and for this reason it is giving its full support so that the boys can participate in the new U-23 Circuit created by Norceca, which this Friday begins a qualifier in Los Corales coastline, Punta Cana.

Mr. Amós Anglada, Technical Vice President of the Dominican Volleyball Federation and director of the Arena Volleyball Program, highlighted that proof of this is that for this stage the country will be represented by four pairs in the women’s branch, headed by the experienced Jeneiry Rosario .

Jineiry and Jubilet Payano made history in June last year by taking part in the World Cup in Rome. In this Norceca qualifying tournament, Jineiry will form a pairing with the new Crimil Paniagua. The other Dominican duo is made up of Gari Cleto Ruth Martínez, the youngest of the Ruth Martinez group, 16 years old.

In the men’s branch, the players Rolvin Maldonado, from Miches, Ricardo Misael Paredes, from Barahona, as well as Ángel Gil, from Santiago, and George Wilmore, from La Romana, will make their debut in an international beach volleyball event.

“We are very happy with what is happening in beach volleyball, despite the fact that we do not have the slightest conditions to train, to the extent that our athletes have to put on tennis shoes to avoid injuries,” he said.

“Our presence and participation in the Norceca beach volleyball tournaments is improving every day. The physical conditions and resistance of our players are among the best, so very soon we will start to be on the podium ”, he predicted.

He thanked the support received from Fedovoli, directed by Alexis García, and from Norceca for the new impetus it is giving to beach volleyball.
