A 16-year-old teenager was arrested this Friday around 11 a.m. in the neighborhood North Carrasco from Montevideo, and police confiscated a .32 caliber revolver with six cartridges.
Officers saw him walking near Horacio Acosta y Lara and Constancio C. Vigil. The teen started running, holding onto his waist, officials said. There they suspected that he might be armed.
The minor told police he had the gun “to throw a few shots in the neighborhood,” according to the police report he viewed Underlined.
He was taken to a police station in a patrol car and must appear in juvenile court. He will initially be charged with carrying and possessing a firearm.
