These were Elon Musk’s most important tweets about dogecoin

When one talks about dogecoin (DOGE), one can no longer ignore Elon Musk. The brand new CEO and owner of Twitter regularly flirts with the popular meme coin and therefore has a lot of influence on the price of DOGE. However, Musk had already made his love for dogecoin known in 2019 by saying it might be his cryptocurrency of choice. In the meantime, nothing is too crazy for the richest man on earth and it is the most normal thing in the world to let the price skyrocket with a single tweet.

Tweets from Elon Musk

In April of this year, you could read in the altcoin news that Musk had proposed dogecoin payments on Twitter. A few days earlier, it was announced that Musk had acquired a large stake in the social media platform. At that time, many dogecoin investors already anticipated such a proposal and as a result, the price rose by about 8.5% within an hour.

Several months later, Musk simply declared “I will continue to support dogecoin” after he, Tesla and SpaceX were sued for promoting the memecoin. The billionaire is known for often sending simple and mostly meaningless tweets into the world.

After Musk took over Twitter on October 27, a few days later he shared a photo of his Shiba Inu dog, the official dogecoin mascot. This dog was wearing a shirt with the Twitter logo on it and a wink was the caption of the meme-worthy tweet.

DOGE and Twitter

Musk has been making an art of doing DOGE-holders keeping hopeful with vaguely suggestive tweets about the meme coin’s embrace on the just-acquired social media platform.

How and whether DOGE will actually be integrated is by no means clear and only time will tell what Musk has in store for dogecoin. In any case, it seems certain that Musk plans to implement crypto on Twitter:

It is a no brainer for Twitter to enter payments. Fiat and crypto.”
