President Beer officially announced the selection of the 100 new talents that will be participating in “Presidente Studios”, where only one can win and become the next star of Dominican music, hand in hand with the acclaimed urban exponent Arcángel as his mentor.
These 100 new talents go on to the second stage of the contest, where from May 23 the public will have the opportunity to listen to the original songs of each artist and vote for their favourite. At the end of the voting, the 50 participants with the highest number of votes will move on to the third stage of the contest.
“President Studios” obtained more than 18,000 registrations from new artists, of which 3,748 supplied an original song and had the opportunity to be evaluated by music producers Nico Clínico, Jhon Neón, Furio Music, Odanis BSK and OkeiFlou, who had the arduous task of choosing these 100 artists.
The semifinalists compete with an extensive musical proposal, which covers different genres, such as: Pop, Merengue, Bachata, Urban, Alternative, Salsa and Ballad. Among those selected for this second stage there are three groups, a duo and 93 soloists.
Talents from all regions of the country participate in “Presidente Studios”: Santo Domingo, Santiago, Samaná, La Romana, Duarte, Barahona, Espaillat, La Vega, San Cristóbal, La Altagracia, Puerto Plata, Monsignor Nouel, San Juan, María Trinidad Sanchez, El Seibo and San Pedro de Macoris. In addition, five of the participants are Dominicans residing in the United States.
From May 23 to 30, the public has the opportunity to listen to the original songs of the 100 participants and vote for their favorite through www.presidentestudios.do.
The winner of “Presidente Studios” will obtain a one-year contract to boost his musical career, as well as the hiring of a management team with various professionals from the music industry. Additionally, he will have the opportunity to record a single with the musical mentoring of Arcángel and the recording of the video clip for this single. Also, he will be able to appear in any of the main stages, concerts and massive events at the hands of Cerveza Presidente.
