This week the Vasil update of the Cardano (ADA) network will be initiated. The update will bring many changes that should significantly improve the network. In a recent Youtube video shared Cardano co-founder Charles Hoskinson says there’s actually “no turning back” at this point. The Vasil update will be launched tomorrow on September 22nd.
No way back
“We don’t expect any problems, but there is no turning back now. Testing can no longer save us; the rocket is already in the air. Either it explodes or it reaches space, and of course it’s going to reach space.” According to Hoskinson.
Dramatic words that might make many a Cardano holder a little nervous. But at the same time, Hoskinson reassures his more than 300,000 followers on Youtube by emphasizing his confidence in the update.
A bright future?
In the video that Hoskinson shared on his YouTube channel, he also spoke out about Cardano’s further trajectory. He himself expects a bright future for Cardano and says the network is making good progress in relatively uncertain times in the crypto sector. According to Hoskinson, times are tough for crypto users and he was referring to the Terra (LUNA) fiasco from earlier this year.
“The collapse of LUNA was a $600 billion worth of destruction.” according to Hoskinson
Despite all the hectic in crypto land, Hoskinson is very optimistic about his Cardano. According to him, Cardano is one of the strongest projects in the crypto sector and it will continue to evolve.
The developers of Cardano and especially co-founder Hoskinson are now known for their long-term vision and optimistic plans. Hoskinson expects the next 3 to 6 months to “look really nice”. And that there are a lot of things to look forward to for the Cardano community in 2023. Hoskinson also said that the Vasil update will enable a growth of Cardano’s Decentralized Finance (DeFi) network.
