There was a rift between the BJP and the RSS

India’s most important Hindu extremist party, Shiv Sena, also admitted the involvement of the current Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Gujarat riots.

The Bharatiya Janata Party, the ruling party in India, is said to be the political face of the Hindu extremist organization Rashtriya Sevak Sangh. All political leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party have been members of RSS.

The current Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi was also a volunteer of RSS and later he joined BJP but now the conflict between BJP and RSS is intensifying.

Odhu Thackeray, head of Shiv Sena, a Hindu extremist party that has political power in several states of India, especially Maharashtra, has come out openly against BJP and Modi.

During an event, Uddhav Thackeray said that Modi was involved in the Gujarat riots, then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee ordered Modi to practice ‘Raj Dharma’ in the Gujarat riots. Vajpayee had asked Modi to fulfill his legal and moral responsibility and had also demanded his resignation over his defeat in the 2004 elections.
