There is still 82% to renew the label

A little over a month to meet the deadline renewal of the Vehicle Circulation Tax (label),Less than a fifth of motor vehicles have been refurbished.

This was confirmed yesterday daily listthe General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII), when reporting that 307,200 motor cars are up to date with the payment of this tax, as of November 30.

According to the DGII, for this registration renewal period there are 1,684,837 working vehicles, so only 18% of these are up to date.

However, it disclosed the means where the payment of this circulation tax was made.Near 252,207 paymentswere made through entities,40,838on the DGII web portal, as well as 14,155 at points of that institution.

The DGII urged the population to pay this tax as of last October 18 and this process will be open until January 31, 2023.

However, the renewal on the internet will beuntil January 15 of that year.

You can register through the DGII website or at any of the authorized banking entities.

How much will you pay?
The DGII reported that the price of the tag will remain unchanged in relation to the previous period, that is, that cars manufactured up to 2017 will pay RD$1,500.

Likewise, for 2018 vehicles, including later ones, the payment will be RD$3,000.

The citizen may renew in one of the 33 financial and cooperative entities with 689 branches distributed throughout the national geography, as well as in the DGII collection offices of Villas Vásquez, Monte Cristi province, and Sánchez, in Samaná.

For this period of tag renewal there are 1,684,837 working vehicles.

Raises RD$524 million
The entity detailed that 264,678 paid the RD$1,500 renewal amount, which adds up to a collection of RD$397,017 million.

While, 42,522 renewed by paying RD$3,000, which gives a total of RD$127,566 million.

By adding up all these mountains, it is concluded that the collection until November 30, 2022, was 524.583 million.

The tax institution reported that an estimated collection of RD$2,734,183,500.00 is expected.

Those exempt from renewal
The entity specified that those that are exempt from renewal are the following vehicles: motorcycles, official vehicles, that is, those whose plates begin with the letters EA, EG, EL, EI, EM, EF and OP.

Consular cars with plates that start with the letters VC, diplomatic cars that start with WD, as well as those of international organizations with letters OI. Likewise, those exonerated with EX, YX, DD, X and PP plates.
