There is no reserve day for the Asian Cup Finals. If the game is canceled due to rain, the winner will be determined in this way

Asia Cup 2023: The Asia Cup matches to be played in Sri Lanka are in talks as it rained more frequently during the match. There is no such game that does not experience disruption from rain. An important update on the Asian Cup finals has now been released. The Asian Cricket Council has clarified that there is no reserve day for the final. If the final cannot be completed due to rain, both teams will be declared winners and the trophy will be shared.

The final match of the Asian Cup will be held on September 17th. Since there is no reserve day, the issue of organizing games in Sri Lanka during the monsoon season is bound to get aggravated. The Pakistan Cricket Board has previously reported heavy losses from rain. PCB says they wanted to organize games in the United Arab Emirates instead of Sri Lanka due to the rainy season. But ACC President Jay Shah chose Sri Lanka instead of the UAE as an alternative.

Actually, the whole controversy started with the hosting of the Asian Cup. Pakistan had the right to host the Asian Cup this year. India refused to send a team to Pakistan for security reasons. After that, the search for new options for hosting began. Finally, a hybrid model for hosting was developed.

Under this model, four matches will be organized in Pakistan and the remaining nine matches will be played in Sri Lanka. However, the Indian team will play all matches exclusively in Sri Lanka. The final will also be played in Sri Lanka. But due to the rain crisis, questions about the final have now arisen.
