‘There are more important issues to address,’ ‘Besharam Rang’ singer breaks her silence

Shah Rukh Khan’s film Pathan controversy is not taking his name. Since his song Besharam Rang was released, he started a campaign to boycott Pathan on social media. Some people say that Deepika Padukone wears orange clothes in the song, which is objectionable. Even Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has expressed his dissatisfaction over this. Now Caralisa Monteiro, singer of ‘Shameless Rang’, has given her reaction to it.

During an interview with India Today, Caralisa Monteiro said: ‘I remember the association of the color saffron with our national flag, which is a symbol of courage and selflessness. I don’t know which leader (Madhya Pradesh Minister Narottam Mishra) is offended by this song, but I am sure that our country has far more pressing problems than the color of clothing worn in a fictional movie, which needs attention.

Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra may be known to have objected to Deepika Padukone’s clothing in the song ‘Besharam Rang’. He wrote on Twitter: “The costume of the Tukde-Tukde gang supporter actress Deepika Padukone in the Pathan movie song is highly objectionable and the song has been filmed with a tainted mindset.” Song scenes and costumes need to be arranged; otherwise, whether the film should be allowed in Madhya Pradesh or not will be a matter for consideration.

We inform that apart from Hindi, Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’ will be released in theaters on 25th January 2023, also in Tamil and Telugu. Shah Rukh Khan played the role of a RAW agent in this. Apart from Shah Rukh and Deepika, John Abraham will also be seen in this film. The film is directed by Siddharth Anand.
