The West Indies team has been announced for the Australia tour, 7 uncapped players have been given a place

The West Indies team will tour Australia in January 2024 for a series across all three formats. First, a two-match Test series will be played, for which West Indies have announced a 15-member Test team. The 15-player West Indies squad included 7 uncapped players (who did not play an international match). Star players like Jason Holder, Andre Rless, Nicholas Pooran, Rovman Powell and Shimron Hetmyer did not get a place in the Test team.

The West Indies Cricket Board has once again given Craig Brathwaite the command of the Test team. In addition, fast bowler Alzarri Joseph was appointed as vice-captain. The seven uncapped players in the squad include Zackary McCaskey, Tevin Imlach, Justin Greaves, Kavem Hodge and Kevin Sinclair, Akeem Jordan and Shamar Joseph.

Team officials said Jayden Seals was ineligible for selection due to a shoulder injury. Apart from this, Jason Holder and Kyle Mayers were unavailable as the T20 leagues were played in January. Chief selector Desmond Haynes said: “The squad has been disrupted due to the absence of key players. However, our plan to play the red ball last year was very good. Australia is always a challenge but we are confident in our team. Is.”

We reveal that the West Indies team will reach Australia on December 30th and will then attend the training camp in Adelaide from January 2nd to 9th. Before the series begins, there will be a four-day warm-up match between January 10th and 13th.

Kraigg Brathwaite (captain), Alzarri Joseph (vice-captain), Tagearayan Chanderpaul, Kirk McKenzie, Alick Athanazye, Kavem Hodge, Justin Greaves, Joshua DeSilva, Akeem Jordan, Gudakesh Moti, Kemar Roach, Kevin Sinckley, Tevin Imlach, Shamar Joseph and Zachary McCaskey .
