The volleyball team added a good victory against Serbia

The Argentine men’s volleyball team, a bronze medalist at the last Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, beat Serbia 3-1 on Thursday at the start of the Wagner Memorial tournament in Krakow, Poland. The team led by Marcelo Méndez, who is getting ready for the World Cup in Slovenia/Poland that will begin at the end of the month, won with partial scores of 25-21, 19-25, 25-22 and 25-18. Ezequiel Palacios was the game’s top scorer with 22 points, while Facundo Conte contributed 20 and Agustín Loser, 13.

The Argentines will play this Friday from 3:00 p.m. (our country time) against Poland, the two-time world champion, and on Saturday at 11:00 a.m., against Iran, to complete this preparation home run.

The team’s debut in the World Cup will be in Ljubljana, Slovenia, against the Iranians on Saturday, August 27 (at 12:30). For Group F of the 2022 World Championship, Argentina will also face the Netherlands (8/29, at 9:00) and Egypt (8/31, at 6:00).
