Alstom has published 2021/2022 results, closed at the end of March, in line with its outlook. The train manufacturer has confirmed its medium-term objectives. The group, however, fell into the red. It shows an adjusted net loss of 173 million euros, against an adjusted net result of 301 million during the previous year. Before the depreciation of the 20% stake in Russian TMH, adjusted net income reached 268 million.
CGG has signed a five-year extension of the license agreement granted to Petrobras for its Geovation software. Having leveraged the industry-leading capabilities of CGG’s seismic imaging platform for more than a decade, Petrobras geoscientists through this new agreement, will continue to have access to highly advanced technological innovations, including the FWI inversion, and will see their imaging capabilities significantly increased, said the company specializing in seismic research.
The biopharmaceutical company will publish its first quarter sales.
Elis published a turnover for the first quarter of 2022 up 26.5% to 832.8 million euros. It was driven in particular by activity in Hotels and Restaurants (around 25% of total pre-Covid revenue), which showed a sharp rebound despite the negative impact of the Omicron variant, mainly in January. The hygiene and maintenance services company also pointed out that price dynamics had been favorable on all of its markets, in a context of high cost inflation.
Eiffage achieved consolidated revenue of nearly 4.4 billion euros in the first quarter of 2022, up 10% year-on-year (+9.1% at constant scope and exchange rates). In Works, activity increased by 7.8% and amounted to 3.6 billion euros: this includes 977 million (+7.4%) for Construction and 1.437 billion euros for Infrastructures (+5%). The Energy Systems branch (+11.7% to 1.19 billion euros) posted the strongest momentum, driven by energy and digital transitions and the group’s good positioning on its European markets.
Oeneo achieved a turnover of 90.5 million euros during its 4th quarter 2021-2022, up 18.7% compared to the 4th quarter 2020-2021 and 15.6% compared to the 4th quarter 2019-2020. “This benefited from the very good growth momentum in Corks and confirmed the return to a more buoyant activity in Breeding, after several quarters disrupted by the health crisis and weather conditions”, explained the manufacturer of corks and of barrels.
Sanofi announced that new analyzes of nirsevimab data support its efficacy against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). A pre-specified analysis of pooled Phase III and Phase IIb data showed 79.5% efficacy against lower respiratory tract infections requiring medical attention, including hospitalizations, caused by the virus. Nirsevimab is the first investigational immunization agent designed to protect all infants, throughout the RSV season, with a single dose.
Sea Bathing Society
Société des Bains de Mer (SBM) has undertaken to transfer, by sale and contribution, the entire 47.30% stake it holds in Betclic Everest Group (BEG) to FLEntertainment. This announcement is part of the conclusion on May 10, 2022 of an agreement for a business combination between Spac Pegasus Entrepreneurs and FL Entertainment, a world leader in entertainment around two subsidiaries: the production company Banijay and Betclic, one of the leaders in sports betting. The merged entity will be listed in Amsterdam.
The video game publisher will publish (after market) its annual results.
