The increase in the number of hospitalizations for Covid-19 in France – which surpassed the 9,000 patient mark for the first time since June – is not only worrying at the national level: the United States has just recommended to its fellow citizens to “avoid traveling to France.”
“If you have to travel to France, make sure you are fully vaccinated before your departure,” specifies, in the same message, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the United States Health Agency.
By raising France’s Covid-19 alert level to level 4 (the maximum), the latter aims to warn of the high level of virus circulation. “Due to the current situation [dans le pays], even fully vaccinated travelers are at risk of contracting and spreading variants of Covid-19 ”, finally details the US health agency, which recently placed Israel, Thailand, Iceland and Greece at level 4.
