For its part, the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC). has announced an emergency appeal for 10 million francs (10.5 million euros) to strengthen the activities of its teams on the ground, who help with evacuations, provide first aid and ensure a “respectful and dignified burial of the deceased”.
