The United Nations announced honors for the martyrs of Pakistan

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the UN peacekeeping mission, the United Nations has announced honors for the martyrs of Pakistan.

According to the details, a special ceremony was held in the General Assembly Hall on the 75th anniversary of the UN peacekeeping mission, which was presided over by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.

The United Nations honored 8 Pakistani martyrs during the UN peacekeeping mission in this event.

Acting Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations, Ambassador Mohammad Amir Khan and Colonel Raja Afzal Ahmed received the Martyrs Medals from the Secretary General.

6 out of 8 were martyred in a helicopter crash in Congo last year, including Lt. Col. Asif Ali Awan, Major Faizan Ali, Major Saad Naumani, Naib Subedar Samiullah Khan, Havaldar Mohammad Ismail, Lance Havaldar Mohammad Jameel Khan.

While the other two martyrs, Havaldar Babar Siddique and Naik Rana Muhammad Tahir Islam, were martyred in the Central African Republic.
