The 79th edition of the Tour of Poland will include in its 2022 edition a time-climb after several years without this type of test, and will take place between Szaflary and Bukovina, with the background scenery of the Tatra Mountains.
The time trial, which could be decisive for the general, has an upward profile almost throughout its route. It will be the sixth stage that begins in Szaflary, a small town between Zakopane and Nowy Targ and arrives in Bukovina, with the finish line on top of the mountain Rusi “ski Wierch.
Near the red flag of the last kilometer the runners will find a slight descent that will almost immediately become the last decisive climb towards the finish line.
“The individual time trial scheduled for the Tour of Poland will be something completely different. It will definitely be an important stage. for the general classification “, comments Czeslaw Lang, general manager of the Polish round.
