The man from Boyacá won a stage in the 2019 edition, while in 2018 he finished second overall on the podium.

On the other side is Egan Bernal, who, two years after his accident, wants to once again demonstrate his full potential, which led him to victory in the 2019 Tour de France and the 2021 Giro d’Italia. Although he will compete in the tour with the Colombian national team and not with Team Ineos, the rider wants to become champion again like in 2018. “It’s complicated to win it but I want to do it in the best way, I feel good. For me it would be nice to go to Europe with a little more confidence and know that I’m doing well,” said the runner in an interview with AS.
