The Tour de Romandie and the Vuelta a Asturias, great cycling events

After a week full of emotions with the dispute of the Ardennes Classics, the activity does not stop in the peloton with the dispute this week of the Tour de Romandie and the Vuelta a Asturias, appointments that will serve as a prelude to the first grand tour of the year, the Giro d’Italia.

Tour de Romandie (25-30 April): The Swiss round will host the only UCI World Tour race this week. A test in which the cyclists will face medium-mountain days before the decisive Châtel-Saint-Denis time trial and the great mountain day in Thyon 2000 before the final day in Geneva. A race in which runners like Emanuel Buchmann, Cian Uijtdebroeks, Geoffrey Bouchard, Joe Dombrowski, Damiano Caruso, Jesús Herrada, Thibaut Pinot, Egan Bernal, Carlos Rpdríguez, Louis Meintjes, Tobias Foss, Steven Kruijswijk, Matteo Jorgenson, Fausto Masnada, Simon Yates, Romain Bardet, Chris Froome or Juan Ayuso start as favorites to win the general classification.

Tour of Asturias (28-30 April): La Vueltina, the Asturian round, will once again bring together great figures from the peloton in an always demanding race in which the cyclists must ascend the Colladona and the Alto de Carabanzo before arriving at Pola de Lena in the first stage; the ascent to Vallado and Alto del Acebo on the way to Cangas del Narcea in the second stage; and the ascent to Tenebreo before the finish line in Oviedo where the champion will be crowned. A Vueltina in which riders like Lorenzo Fortunato, Julen Amezqueta or Mikel Bizkarra will be some of the cyclists to follow while waiting for teams like Movistar or TotalEnergies to announce their teams for the race.
