The Cibao Giants culminated the final series of the 2021-22 season, an event dedicated to the late Khalil Haché, being this classic number 68 that is celebrated in Dominican baseball. This was the second crown of the Nordestanos.
This was the third time in history that a team lost the first game of a best-of-a-final 7-4 and then won the next four games in a row.
The Stars won the first match of this culminating series, which began on Monday, January 17 with a victory for the Paquidermos 5 – 4 in 11 episodes and then they suffered four failures in a row from the Giants.
The other two occasions that this happened in a classic final agreed to 7–4 and then losing four straight challenges had happened in the 1953 final. These three finals have concluded in the parks of the defeated teams.
