KABUL: The Taliban spokesman has clarified the position of the Afghan Taliban regarding music and future steps in this regard.
According to details, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told the New York Times in an interview that music is forbidden in Islam, so music will be banned in public places.
“But instead of putting pressure on the people, we will try not to do so,” the Taliban spokesman said.
Regarding women, Zabihullah Mujahid also presented the Taliban’s position, reiterating that women would be allowed to work in schools, colleges and offices.
The Taliban spokesman also denied that the veil of women and living in houses is baseless. If women have to travel for 3 or more days, they must be accompanied by Muharram.
“The Taliban are ready to join them,” Zabihullah Mujahid told the international community. “We want to build the future and forget the past.”
