The Taliban have stepped into the invincible Panjshir so far, Afghan media

Afghan news channel Tolo has quoted Taliban leaders as claiming that their fighters have entered Panjshir.

According to the report, Taliban leader Inamullah Samangani said that the doors of talks are still open and even today a delegation of Ahmad Masood group has met with Taliban leaders in Kabul.
Inamullah Samangani said that there was no clash between the Taliban and Ahmad Masood’s fighters but the Taliban have advanced in the province and the Taliban have entered Panjshir through various routes.
on the other hand Five Lion Comics Group Muhammad Almas Zahid, a member of the Taliban, denied the Taliban’s claims, saying there had been no fighting in Panjshir and the Taliban had not entered.
Mohammad Almas Zahid said that the second round of talks has also been successfully completed but the failure of these talks will cause huge loss to both the parties.
It should be noted that the Taliban have captured 33 provinces of the country, including Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, but the 34th province of the country, Panjshir, is still unconquerable.
Panjshir is now a stronghold of anti-Taliban forces, and now Ahmad Shah Massoud and former Afghan Vice President Amrullah Saleh Bachi Kachhi are leading the Afghan army and local militia in the city.
Panjshir is a complex province of the whole country where there is no road system and the whole region is surrounded by mountains. The area is located along the Hindu Kush mountain range and is located at an average altitude of 2200 meters above sea level, while some of its places are also at an altitude of 6,000 meters above sea level.
The Panjshir Valley strengthens its location defensively. Access to the valley is possible only by a narrow route along the Panjshir River. The area is a fortress, which has always been a difficult front for foreign invaders. When the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan, Soviet forces could not occupy it.
Tensions remained high after the Soviet withdrawal, first with the Afghan government and then with the Taliban. It began in the Pashtun-majority areas of Afghanistan in 1994, but the Taliban did not gain control of Panj Sher during their first term.
