Dinamo Zagreb have made Luka Modric a tempting offer to return to his parent club next summer. Although Modric will leave Real Madrid at the end of the 2023/24 season, his future has not yet been decided.
The experienced Croatian midfielder, who turns 38 in September, has opted to sign annual contract extensions throughout the current season, but that strategy appears to be changing in 2024. Modric has expressed his displeasure at having little playing time in recent months, which has also sparked rumors about her relationship with coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Dinamo Zagreb dreams of Modric
Despite his age, Modric still feels capable of playing at the highest level until he is 40 years old. He has offers from the Saudi Pro League and MLS next summer, offering a solid financial proposition. However, Dinamo Zagreb president Mirko Barisic has made a bold move by offering Modric a return to his first club.
Modric’s journey to the top of world football began at Dinamo Zagreb before joining Tottenham in 2008 and he is now considering that option. A decision on his future could be delayed until he leads Croatia at Euro 2024 as Modric will carefully consider all offers before making a final decision.
