The superior volleyball tour moves to Santiago and Bonao

The city of Santiago declared itself ready to present the best version in the fourth and last cup of the National Superior Volleyball Tournament, which will take place this Saturday and Sunday at Club Plaza Valerio.

José –Yeye-Aybar, president of the Santiago Volleyball Association, said that all the ends are tied for the tournament to be held with the expected success.

“We have everything ready to welcome the teams and get through to the final,” said “Yeye” Aybar about a first-rate show that will cost 50 pesos for general admission and 100 for VIPs.

He reported that the National District, with a record of 2-5, will face the leading Laguneros de Cabral (7-0) in the first match of the men’s branch, scheduled to start at four in the afternoon, prior to the opening ceremony (5:00 pm).

At seven o’clock the second match of the day will begin between Santiago, which occupies the second step with 3-4, and Bayaguana (2-5), which, like the representative of the District, is compelled to win their commitments on Saturday and Sunday.

A victory for the hosts, who will now have the star Henry López, over Bayaguana or on Sunday against Cabral, which seems more unlikely, would give the people from Santiago the place and the right to face Cabral in the final of the event organized by the Dominican Volleyball Federation, chaired by Alexis García.

“Yeye” Aybar thanked the support received by Cemento Cibao, Cibao Airport, deputies Luis René Fernández and Soraya Suárez, Cooperativa San José, as well as their delegates from Puñal, Jonathan Peña, and Andrés Alba, from Licey, of whom he said that they They have fought from bell to bell to obtain the success that as a team they have had in the four stops of the tour.

The first game this Saturday, scheduled to start at five in the afternoon, will feature Calero and La Romana.

San Cristóbal and the collective from the Monseñor Nouel province will face each other starting at eight o’clock in a match where qualification for the final will be at stake.
