The Spanish Sainz complained about the "great wear" of Ferrari tires

The Spanish driver Carlos Sainz, who achieved fourth place in the Bahrain Grand Prix, the first of the F1 season, complained about excessive tire wear of his SF-23 car from the Ferrari team, although he trusted that his team will solve that problem.

“In Bahrain the wear on the tires was very worrying and my wish is that, as soon asHow we go to other tracks where we wear less rear tires, we can hold better,” Sainz said in statements published by the website RacingNews365.com.

Sainz’s car could not keep up with Aston Martin and Red Bull, that they had a much lower degradation than his, and the man from Madrid assured that both teams “are ahead” of Ferrari and Mercedes in tire management.

“Both Red Bull and Aston Martin clearly have something, their tires wear out much less. And with Mercedes we have a similar degradation And these other cars, for some reason, don’t degrade. So it’s something we’ll have to look at and see what to do to improve,” he added.

Last season -says the specialized site- Ferrari already had problems with wear and for Sainz “the rivals for some reason, They have found something that makes their tires wear half than ours.”

However, the Spanish pilot was confident despite the difficulties he had in Bahrain and said he hopes the SF-23 “will be a competitive car on other tracks with other characteristics to that of Bahrain”.

On Sunday, March 19, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix will be held in the jeddah corniche circuit in what will be the second official F1 test of the current season.
