The Spanish club that wants to sign Salomón Rondón

According to recent reports from Argentina, Real Oviedo has emerged as a possible destination for Salomón Rondón. After River Plate announced they would not be releasing the Venezuelan striker, Real Oviedo have expressed interest in acquiring his services in the next transfer market.

The Spanish club’s search for a centre-forward has led to Rondón being seen as a viable option. Although a formal offer has not yet been made, Real Oviedo is expected to make an offer in line with the expectations of River Plate, who want to recoup the investment made in the striker. The intention is to sign him to help them gain promotion to the top flight.

With a release clause of five million euros, Real Oviedo is exploring the possibility of making an offer that could complete Rondón’s cycle at River Plate. The offer, which is still pending confirmation, could exceed the four million dollars invested so far by the Argentine club.

Initial rumors suggest that Salomón Rondón is considering a move to Mexican Liga MX club Pachuca. However, the situation changed when Real Oviedo expressed interest in acquiring the Venezuelan striker and used its engineering team in Spain to make the purchase.

Despite increasing performances throughout 2023, with 10 goals in 17 full games, Rondón has told River Plate’s coaching staff and management that his family has not adapted to the country. This personal situation led the striker to look for a way out, which surprised the club, which saw him as a key figure for the 2024 season.

Pending Real Oviedo’s formal offer, River Plate will carefully consider the proposed terms before making a decision on Salomón Rondón’s future at the club.
