Tottenham Hotspur are considering signing Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke in the final stages of the January transfer window. Solanke had an outstanding 2023-24 season, scoring 12 goals in 20 Premier League games. His exceptional performance earned him the first Bournemouth player to win the Premier League Player of the Month award.
Despite previous interest from Newcastle United being rejected by Bournemouth, Solanke could be in Tottenham’s sights. Spurs are looking for a long-term replacement for Harry Kane, who moved to Bayern Munich last summer. Although they have players like Richarlison and Son Heung-min, Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou seems keen to add a proven centre-forward to his squad.
Solanke, Postecoglou’s dream
According to reports from The Sun, Tottenham are considering making a last-minute bid for Solanke before the transfer window closes. However, convincing Bournemouth to part ways with their star striker will not be an easy task, with the south coast club in a strong position and Solanke under contract until the summer of 2027.
Although the Cherries are exploring options in the French and Belgian leagues for a possible replacement, the final decision on the possible sale of Solanke has not yet been made. Solanke is expected to lead Bournemouth’s side in their next game against West Ham United as Tottenham weigh up the possibility of making a significant offer before the market closes to secure his services.
