The Sports Directorate of the Santo Domingo Este City Council (ASDE), together with the technical direction and the coordinators of the different sports disciplines, announced that they are putting the final touches and moving forward in the assembly of the III Municipal Games of Santo Domingo Este to be held on Next June 14 in the Parque del Este.
Roberto Neris, Sports Director of the Mayor’s Office, presided over the meeting and guaranteed those present that this will be the best version of that event.
“These will be the best games ever seen in this municipality because we are working very responsibly,” exclaimed Neris, while indicating that it was the defining meeting of the athletic contest.
He stated that the III Games will serve to demonstrate to the country that Santo Domingo Este has trained leaders.
The technical management headed by Eddy González delivered the competition program to the coordinators.
“Each discipline will be regulated by its respective federation,” González informed those in charge of the different sports that will see action in the event scheduled to take place from June 14 to July 14, and in which the finalists in each sport will participate.
In addition to Neris and Gonzàlez, Ángel Rivas, Nelson Ramírez and Tony Mesa were present at the meeting, all as part of the technical management.
“The qualifiers in which the finalists of the III Sports Games will be chosen have been taking place for several days and those that have been carried out successfully, assured Neris.
“We are sure that Mayor Manuel Jiménez sees all these actions as positive in favor of children, youth, the sports leadership and the municipality,” said Neris while presiding over the meeting with the technical team.
The Organizing Committee of the III SDE Municipal Games is chaired by Senator Antonio Taveras Guzmán, while Eddy Gonzáles is the technical director; Héctor Torres is the Administrative Director; Domingo Batista is the Director of Communications, while Francisco Cedeño is the General Coordinator
