The screen in Times Square that is within everyone’s reach

Hundreds of thousands of tourists, local New Yorkers and others flock to Times Square every day. One of the reasons is the obvious fame this place has for being packed with billboards and award-winning entertainment. This area is the busiest during festivities such as New Year’s Eve, making it an excellent point to make yourself known.

When the COVID-19 pandemic and the mandatory quarantine occurred, many companies declined and the economic environment was greatly affected. The failure of numerous local businesses due to the pandemic was evident, but there was one person who had the idea of launching a project that would help brands with their marketing.

Acclaimed Miami lawyer with more than 19 years of experience, Jaime Suárez, along with his team Juanma Salazar, Lau Malagon and Paola Sinisgalli came up with the idea of creating a strategy to boost the marketing of local businesses by allowing them to advertise on a billboard in the Times Square.

Hundreds of thousands flock to this place and look at the billboards that usually show only big brands or personalities, but Suárez opened Welcome to Times Square – whose website and Instagram account bear the same name – so that anyone could post their photos from their phone and have them displayed on a huge billboard in the heart of Times Square.

While the original idea was to allow local businesses to use the 55-foot-wide, 31-foot-tall billboard to make themselves known, the project took an interesting twist so that even an ordinary person with no monetary interest could share something personal

Cases such as wishing someone a happy birthday, asking for marriage, surprising relatives or announcing a new comic are among the situations for which the project can be used.

Welcome to Times Square

The use of smartphones and everyone’s taste for being able to do many things through them is something that brands and large companies are taking advantage of today. The project Welcome to Time Square is no exception, as it has been modernizing so that photos can be published directly from the phone on the Times Square Billboard for only $150 dollars.

The process is simple and it is enough to visit the website TimesSquareBillboard.com, choose a date, choose what is going to be published and pay an amount of $150. Finally an email is received with the time slot in which it will be broadcast. This service is aimed at tourists and locals who want to display their family photos and loved ones in Times Square. No video, text, brands, or logos are allowed on the photos.
