The Saudi government eased the problem for employees

Riyadh: The Saudi Ministry of Manpower and Social Welfare has removed the worries of the employees.

According to Arab media reports, the Ministry of Manpower clarified that the ‘paper’ agreements issued before the new system have not been canceled.

The report said that rumors were circulating in Saudi Arabia that from January 1, the old employment contracts would not be accepted by the Ministry of Manpower nor would a lawsuit be filed in the Labor Court on the basis of these contracts.

The Saudi Ministry of Manpower and Social Welfare denied the allegations and said that no such statement had been issued by the ministry regarding the old agreements.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Manpower, Saad al-Hammad, said no such thing had been done by the ministry.

He added that the same policy regarding digital employment contracts has been announced in the past but the media should pass on the information to the readers through the right medium.
