Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has announced the introduction of a new national airline.
According to the Saudi vision of providing tourism, international trade, cargo and air travel facilities, a new airline named ‘Riyadh Air’ is being established.
The new airline will not only open up new avenues for the Saudi capital to the world, but will also create millions of job opportunities.
Riyadh will add 20 billion dollars to the gross national product excluding oil through Air. The airline will be publicly owned by the Saudi Investment Fund.
The leadership of the airline has also been announced. The airline’s chairman will be PIF Governor Yasir Rumayan while CEO Tony Douglas has been appointed.
