The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra says goodbye to the 10x telephoto camera

This has been rumored for a long time Samsung does not have the 10x zoom on the Galaxy S24 Ultra. These rumors appear to be confirmed by a new leak that reveals details about Samsung’s zoom setup on its next-generation flagship smartphone.

As revealed Ice universeThe Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will finally do away with the 10x zoom.

Apparently the Galaxy S24 Ultra will have two zoom lenses: a 10MP camera with 3x zoom and a 50MP lens with 5x zoom. The 50 MP sensor of the 5x zoom lens is said to have a size of 1/2.52″ and pixels of 0.7μm.

About a month ago, the same source claimed that the 10MP sensor on the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s 3x zoom camera would be replaced by a 50MP sensor with the above specifications. However, it appears that the previous report was inaccurate. Instead, it looks like the Galaxy S24 Ultra will retain its predecessor’s 3x zoom camera but switch to a 50MP sensor under a 5x zoom lens.

The reasons for this choice are understandable. Samsung will likely look to improve its mid-range zoom at the expense of the less useful 10x zoom of previous generations.
