The Russian president sounded the alarm

MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned that militants from Iraq and Syria are returning to Afghanistan.

According to foreign media, in a statement, the Russian president said that the situation in Afghanistan is not easy, after the US withdrawal, power has fallen into the hands of the Taliban.

“Since coming to power, the Taliban government has been enforcing its rules and regulations. Afghan soil should not be used against any country,” he said.

Putin added that the US presence in Afghanistan for 20 years had been devastating.

On the other hand, the Taliban delegation has left for Turkey. The Taliban delegation is visiting Turkey at the invitation of the Turkish Foreign Minister. The delegation includes Foreign Minister Amir Khan Mottaki and other leaders including Sohail Shaheen.

Afghan Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi said the meeting with Turkish officials would focus on aid, trade and the situation in Afghanistan.
