Russia’s president has announced a week-long nationwide holiday as the spread of the corona virus accelerates.

According to international media reports, President Vladimir Putin has issued holiday orders across the country with paid salaries from October 30 to November 7, urging the public to take precautionary measures as well as vaccination.

These orders have been issued by the President in view of the rapid spread of Corona in the country. In just 24 hours on Wednesday, more than 1,000 deaths were reported from the epidemic across the country, with 34,000 new cases reported.

The President said that the purpose of the holidays was to ensure the safety and security of the people and during this time salaries would also be paid during the holidays.

Putin has expressed surprise at the lack of public vaccinations, saying how many people are refusing to be vaccinated, including those with education, scientific degrees and close friends of mine.

He said that the reason for the increase in the spread of Corona is due to vaccination, which is unfortunately low. It should be noted that so far only 35% of Russians have been vaccinated against coronavirus.
