The Royal Spanish Football Federation had been working for several days to readjust the schedule of the round of 16 matches of the Copa del Rey scheduled for January 5 and, finally, it has succeeded. The federative entity wanted to prevent the three matches that were to be played that day from coinciding with the procession of the Kings of Tarragona, Ibiza and Elda. So, together with the television operators and the municipalities of the respective towns, has reached an agreement to reschedule two of those meetings.
So that the Nastic-Osasuna and the Islas Pitiusas-Betis match will be played on January 5, at 4:00 p.m., while the Eldense-Athletic match will take place at 9:00 p.m. The meeting in Tarragona has been brought forward two hours from the initially scheduled time, the one in Elda has been delayed by one hour and the Islas Pitiusas-Betis maintains its schedule, since it did not represent any conflict with the parade of the Kings of the Balearic town.

The rest of the day of the round of 16 of the Copa del Reywhich will be held between January 3 and 4, does not suffer any schedule modification.
