The reason why Jules Koundé did not sign for Chelsea revealed

One of the summer market novels was that of Jules Koundé and Chelsea. The London club was interested in taking over his services and the French defender did not hesitate for a second: He wanted to go play with the European champion. Sevilla coach Julen Lopetegui has confirmed to Diario de Sevilla the reasons why Koundé will play one more season with the Andalusian team. Apparently, the offer presented by the English team was not adequate for what was requested by the board. In fact, he is confident that it was the best they could do and that he hopes he will continue to perform “at the highest level.”

On the other hand, ‘Monchi’, sports director of the Spanish club, also commented and explained how the whole process of Chelsea was to try to sign the player. Where he explained that in addition to not satisfying Sevilla, it was an offer that forced Chelsea to sell a player. So the Spanish responded with their counter offer, but the ‘Blues’ never responded to this email. So ‘Monchi’ confirmed that the only way for Koundé to take his suitcases and head to England was for Chelsea to pay the clause. Which has a price of 80 million euros.
