The Pumas seek to wash the image with six variants

The crushing loss to the All Blacks prompted a rethink for Los Pumas coach Mario Ledesma, who announced six changes for the rematch against the All Blacks next Saturday for the fourth day of the Rugby Championship. Among the variants is the entry of Santiago Carreras through the opening Nicolás Sánchez, injured with a sprained ankle.

With the need to reverse the poor image left last Sunday, when the Argentine team fell 39-0 in Perth to the New Zealanders, Ledesma will appeal to six modifications for the duel on Saturday at 7 o’clock in Argentina, with four changes between the backs and two in the forwards, either due to injuries or tactical issues.

The Cordovan Carreras will go in place of Sánchez, who suffered a sprained ankle and will make up the middle pair together with Gonzalo Bertranou, completing the changes between the backs with the income of Lucio Cinti for Matías Moroni, Santiago Chocobares for Jerónimo De la Fuente and Emiliano Boffelli by Bautista Delguy. In the pack of forwards, the variants with respect to the Perth match will be the entry of Juan Martín González by Rodrigo Bruni and Tomás Lavanini by Guido Petti.

In this way, and according to what Ledesma confirmed, Argentina will form with Juan Cruz Mallía; Santiago Cordero, Lucio Cinti, Santiago Chocobares and Emiliano Bofelli; Santiago Carreras and Gonzalo Bertranou; Pablo Matera, Marcos Kremer and Juan Martín González; Tomás Lavaini and Matías Alemanno; Santiago Medrano, Julián Montoya and Facundo Gigena. The alternates will be Santiago Socino, Carlos Muzzio, Enrique Pieretto, Guido Petti, Tomás Lezana, Gonzalo García, Domingo Miotti and Matías Moroni.
