The PSUV celebrated the agreement with the opposition to repatriate state money in foreign banks

The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, celebrated this Monday the “concrete results” of the restart of the dialogue between the Government and the opposition in Mexico, where on Saturday they signed an agreement to serve the population with resources that the country has blocked in the international financial system and that they seek to unfreeze.

Diosdado Cabello pointed out that the agreement, which “allows the availability of 3,000 million dollars”, will promote the development of “well-defined projects” in sectors such as health, education and electricity.

He assured that, in the midst of the sanctions imposed by the United States, “the only way there is” to dispose of these resources is through the United Nations Organization (UN) with which the Government has “operating agreements”. “We have no problem. That money belongs to the Venezuelans and must be used for the Venezuelans. The fact that the UN is there does not matter to us; we are transparent,” she said.

The delegations of the Government and the opposition signed this Saturday the Second Partial Agreement for the Protection of the Venezuelan People, whose objective is to recover State resources blocked abroad.
