The PSG has clear who will be the substitute of Mbappé

The future of Kylian Mbappé continues to be the subject of interest and speculation, and it is not just PSG and Real Madrid that are involved in this saga. There is a third club that is showing great interest in what the French star will have this summer: Napoli. The reason behind this attention stems from the fact that the first name on the Parisians’ list as a replacement for the striker is Victor Osimhen.

According to the newspaper ACE, the Nigerian has already become a legend under Vesuvius. His 26 goals crowned him as the Capocannoniere of the last Serie A, being essential to win the club’s third scudetto, the first without the presence of Maradona. Osimhen has exploded on the pitch, but his talent and effectiveness have never been in question. In 2020, Napoli paid around 50 million euros to sign him from Lille. Since then, the forward has played 101 games, scoring 59 goals and providing 14 assists.

A high price, but affordable for Parisians

At PSG, Osimhen is considering a perfect replacement for Mbappé, and Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is watching developments with a very clear vision. The striker’s contract expires in 2025 and the intention is to renew it for at least one more year, so that the new project led by Rudi Garcia can count on his goals. The player is happy in Naples and welcomes this option, although De Laurentiis has stated that the plan would change if an “irrejectable” offer were made that would benefit the financial health of the southern club. This offer should exceed 150 million euros, but so far, no one has submitted such a proposal.
