The president of Peru is summoned to testify by the Prosecutor’s Office

The summons will be from 09:00 local time (14:00 GMT) next Wednesday and it was confirmed by Boluarte’s lawyer, Joseph Campos, who said that they wait “with great expectation for that day in order to be able to make the statement.”

“We express our vocation for collaboration to close this chapter that does not make sense. It is not responsible to keep the president in a legal investigation regarding this responsibility, ”Campos told the RPP radio station.

The National Prosecutor’s Office (general) announced the start of preliminary investigations on January 10 for the alleged commission of the crimes of genocide, qualified homicide and serious injuries.
