The President of Guyana raised his country’s flag in the Essequibo Territory

Caracas.- This Friday, the President of Guyana, Irfaan Ali, raised his country’s flag in the Pacaraima Mountains in the Essequibo Territory, very close to the de facto dividing line.

The audiovisual video in which the Guyanese head of state presides over the event was broadcast on the social network X.

For his part, Guyanese Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo reported that the United States Department of Defense (US) will visit the country next week.

Recently, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro warned against the construction of a Southern Command military base in Guyana.
