The president of Argentina hospitalized for lower back pain

The president of Argentina, Alberto Fernández, has been hospitalized this Tuesday in Buenos Aires, for a "picture of acute low back pain"as confirmed by the office of the Presidency through its Medical Unit.

Fernández is in the Otamendi Sanatorium, in the capital, where he will undergo "the corresponding studies in order to be able to administer a specific treatment"according to a statement signed by Dr. Federico Saavedra, head of the Presidential Medical Unit.

According to what ‘La Nación’ has been able to learn from sources close to the president, the pain in the lower back would have started on Monday, and after not subsiding, doctor Saavedra would have recommended an MRI.

The 63-year-old president has not canceled any of his upcoming commitments, nor has he canceled a trip scheduled for this Wednesday to the Province of Chaco.
