The Pope resumes his agenda and charges against precarious work

Pope Francis resumed his agenda today after leaving the hospital last Saturday and charged against work in black, "that exposes workers to forms of exploitation and injustice", and against precarious work, "how low the birth rate"during his speech upon receiving a delegation from the Italian Social Security Institute.

Francis, what He was hospitalized for three nights for bronchitis, He celebrated the Palm Mass on Sunday and will have several audiences today.

In his speech today he also recalled that "It should not be forgotten that foreign workers who do not yet have Italian citizenship also contribute to the pension system" and I add: "It would be a good sign to be able to express gratitude to them for what they do".

The pope made three appeals to the world of work: The first was to say no to working in the black because "At first it seems to bring economic benefits, but from a distance it does not allow families to contribute and access the pension system. Undeclared work distorts the labor market and exposes workers to forms of exploitation and injustice".

The second appeal was not to abuse precarious work, "that affects the life choices of young people and sometimes forces them to to work even when strength fails them. Precariousness must be transitory, it cannot be prolonged in excess; otherwise, it ends up bringing distrust of young people, it discourages entry into the social security system and lowers the birth rate".

Lastly, he called for decent work, "that is always free, creative, participative and supportive".

"We need wise politicians, guided by the criteria of fraternity and who know how to distinguish between season and season, avoiding wasting resources when they exist and leaving future generations in a desperate situation, he added.
