The Sports Secretariat of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) invited athletes, coaches, leaders and sports promoters to participate in the act for the National Sports Day and that will take place at 10:00 in the morning of this Sunday November 7 in the province of La Vega.
The central act of the celebrations will consist of making a Floral Offering in the Ornamental Cemetery of La Vega where the remains of Professor Juan Bosch rest, the greatest writer and politician in the Dominican Republic, a historical benchmark for ethics and integrity.
The former immortal basketball player of the Dominican Republic, Soterio RamÃrez, explained that there is no better way to honor the sport than by honoring the memory of one of the greatest Dominican men such as the founder of the PLD, Professor Juan.
He said that the floral offering will be made in the Ornamental Cemetery of the Cibaeña city where the remains of the greatest politician and writer in the country rest.
In the cemetery of La Vega they will speak apart from RamÃrez, the national athletics athlete and former senator of La Vega, Mr. Porfirio-Popo-Beras and the president of the Sports Union of La Vega, Mr. Francisco Peguero.
“We invite the country’s athletes, especially those from Cibao, to participate in the offering to Professor Juan Bosch in order to commemorate National Sports Day,” he said. RamÃrez who directs the Sports Secretariat of the PLD.
We will also visit the San Miguel Club, where we will give a talk and deliver various sports equipment to young athletes from the Olympic city of la Vega.
