The pilot Dilano Van t’Hoff dies at the age of 18, after an accident at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit

The Dutch driver Dilano Van t’Hoff, who was competing in the European Regional Formula Championship, died this Saturday at the age of eighteen in an accident on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.

The event took place in a European Regional Formula race prior to the 24 Hours of Spa.

According to the Belgian news agency, the accident occurred around 10:00 am (8:00 GMT), when a chain collision occurred.

Van t’Hoff’s car was left in the middle of the track and another car collided with him.

Dilano Van t’Hoff had been Spanish Formula 4 champion in 2020.

On the starting grid of the 24 Hours of Spa, a minute’s silence will be held in honor of the driver.
