The Pakistan team can get a foreign coach, said Rameez Raja, recommended by Babar Azam

The head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ramiz Raja has said that Captain Babar Azam and Acting Head Coach Saqlain Mushtaq have recommended foreign coaches for the national team. Even goalie hitter Mohammad Rizwan is in favor of bringing in specialists from abroad. Former test captain Raja said: “During the talks with Babar, Rizwan and later Saqlain, they all said it would be better to have a foreign coach in the dressing room of the national team.”

Raja had appointed Australian Matthew Hayden as Pakistan’s hitting consultant and Vernon Philander from South Africa as bowling consultant for the T20 World Cup. Pakistan had to face defeat to champion Australia in the semi-finals, but the team was undefeated in the Super-12 stage. After Raja took over as PCB president, then-team head coach Misbah-ul-Haq and bowling coach Waqar Younis suddenly resigned from the West Indies tour and ahead of the T20 World Cup. . Misbah was appointed head coach at the end of 2019.
