The Outer Worlds 2 is making waves after its showcase, but the price tag is getting all the attention.
Obsidian just revealed the game’s release date and new details, but the $80 price point is what’s really got people talking.
This price hike isn’t entirely unexpected, though – Nintendo already raised prices for digital games on the Nintendo Switch 2.
Now, $80 might become the new standard for games.
Game Pass subscribers can still get in on the action without breaking the bank, though.
They’ll be able to play The Outer Worlds 2 on release day for the standard monthly fee of $10.
The game’s improvements over the first one are undeniable – better gameplay, more weapons, and just as many quest options.
But is it worth the higher price? We’ll have to wait until October 29 to find out.
What’s new in The Outer Worlds 2?
- Improved gameplay mechanics
- A wide range of new weapons
- Open-world questing options
The Outer Worlds 2 is available for pre-order now on Steam, PS5, and Xbox.
