The opposition of Venezuela ends the mandate of Juan Guaidó

The opposition National Assembly of Venezuela has ended the mandate of Juan Guaidó as interim president, after recent criticism received for not having achieved the objectives set by those who promoted him in 2019.

The session of the National Assembly had originally been proposed for Thursday, although it was postponed to January 3. "according to the criteria of the members of the board of directors and deputy" and in order to achieve a greater consensus.

With this decision, the Venezuelan opposition has put an end to the mandate of a Guaidó who in recent weeks had received criticism from some of the parties opposed to the country’s president, Nicolás Maduro, considering that, after almost four years, he had not fulfilled with the expected objectives.
