The offer from a LaLiga team that Rayo Vallecano rejected for De Tomás

Rayo Vallecano have made a clear decision on the future of Raúl De Tomás, rejecting a significant €5 million offer from Real Betis. Despite speculation about the striker’s possible departure, Rayo Vallecano have made it clear that De Tomás will remain in Vallecas unless a financially attractive offer is received.

Raúl De Tomás arrived at Rayo in September 2022 with high expectations, but his performances have so far fallen short of expectations. Injuries and physical problems have affected his performance, although Rayo expected a better season after ending the previous season with good feelings.

Raúl de Tomás doesn’t move from Rayo

According to the newspaper MARCA, Rayo Vallecano received three concrete offers to leave in the January window, but all of them were rejected by Rayo Vallecano. The club is determined to keep De Tomás unless an offer comes close to his financial expectations, which were originally set out in the €100 million clause.

Real Betis offered a loan with a non-binding purchase option of 5 million euros among the interested clubs. Although the Verdiblancos were willing to increase the offer to a free transfer, the reaction from Rayo was negative. Another Spanish club has also shown interest, but Rayo’s financial demands have ruled out any negotiations.

Despite receiving offers from Saudi Arabia, Raúl De Tomás, 29, has expressed his desire to continue competing at the highest level. Although January was a turbulent month, De Tomás will continue to wear the shirt unless a club is willing to make an offer that meets Rayo Vallecano’s financial expectations in the final hours of the transfer window.
